This is a list of people from the University of Oxford in public life overseas. Many were students at one of the colleges of the University, and others held fellowships at a college. Oxford House has as its primary goal the provision of housing and rehabilitative support for the alcoholic and drug addict who wants to stop drinking or using drugs and stay stopped. This publicly supported, non-profit 5013 corporation is the umbrella organization which provides the network connecting all Oxford Houses and allocates resources to duplicate the Oxford House concept where needs arise. Words can not begin to express the gratitude I have for Oxford House. I showed up on their doorstep in April 2013, battered and broken from a recent relapse. Today, due to the firm foundation I was able to build by living in Oxford, I have amassed over 4 years of continuous recovery. It is preferred that Individuals complete a treatment program, depending on what treatment options are available in that area and be drug and alcohol free for 14 days or more at the time of application. They must also be willing to accept the house rules and expectations, and be able to pay their share of the expenses.
