The Importance of Board Room Training

Board rooms are where important decisions are taken. These decisions affect everyone from the employees at the company to the investors who own the shares, and ultimately, the economy. These rooms do not have to be fancy they are just regular conference rooms large enough to accommodate all the participants and come with an ample table to accommodate the board’s papers and other materials needed during the meeting. What they require is a space to hold an open and honest discussion that promotes collaboration and efficient decision-making.

Training in the boardroom is vital for all board members, as well as the corporate secretary and the governance professional who help them. These courses cover the broad range of knowledge needed to be successful board members and also cover more behavioral and psychological aspects that are essential to effective governance and boardroom dynamics.

Boardroom Mastery ™ is an interactive board simulation that gives participants the chance to improve their leadership abilities in a safe, challenging and secure environment. Each participant will have one-on-one time with an organizational psychologist who will look at his or her individual behaviours to assist them in understanding how their behaviours affects their decision-making. Over three days participants will be a part of a group that is confronted with real-world governance and crisis scenarios to test their existing boardroom skills and experience.
